Hmm. I am not sure what could be the difference, both the keyboard shortcut and the app menu uses the exact same DDC command to switch input source. Input source specific KVM functionality (USB) is entirely managed by the display (it's a manufacturer specific feature), BetterDisplay is not sending any special commands to configure that feature. |

I have the same issue. Switching via the menu works, but not via shortcut. BetterDisplay on Mac can detect the shortcut if I assign it to another action such as "Increase Brightness", but it does not work for the input source switch. |

I have a Dell P3421 monitor with multiple video inputs, (MacBook connected to USB-C & a Windows PC connected to HDMI). When I use the BetterDisplayPro drop down menu, DDC Input Source - HDMI 1, both video & USB inputs switch over correctly.
When using Shortcut keys, (Ctrl+Shift+M), the video input switches however the USB input does not, (I need to manually unplug and plug the USB keyboard and mouse). It seems to be a minor bug, hoping this can be fixed in the next release....?
