The problem with the M4/M4 Pro Mac is that for some hard to understand reason it arbitrary limits max horiozontal resolution. Some report success getting 3840px horizontally at 120Hz. Have you tried the virtual screen method? The code here #807 (comment) will fix the mouse. I assume we should get a work around option relatively soon from @waydabber |

@erikjoya if you add a virtual display it will work, not ideal but the only work around that I have found. |

I have only been using it a few days but it seems like at times my pointer will lock up or lag randomly. I also have issues with the screensaver not coming on or media not playing correctly. |

There should not be a delay but on Apple Silicon the mouse feels a bit uncertain as @dave-fl mentioned when mirroring a virtual screen. |

I’m experiencing the same issues. Random mouse lag. The current workaround to auto disable and enable virtual screen before sleeping is erratic, 50% chance it will get stuck not turning the display offOn Dec 27, 2024, at 6:17 PM, waydabber ***@***.***> wrote:

Same issue here with a MacBook Pro M4 Pro 14" and a Dell U4021QW 5k2k monitor. Previously used 3840x1620 HiDPI resolution on M3 Pro, now the highest possible HiDPI resolution is 3328x1404. |

I recently switched from a M1 Pro MacBook Pro to a M3 MacBook Air and I lost my favorite 3840×1620 resolution, I'm now stuck at 3008×1268... Can I use BetterDisplay to solve that issue? |

Hi, It seems my only way to avoid sleep issue with virtual screen and mirroring is through your native/flexible scaling. I tried adding the custom resolution but I'm only given a lodpi option at 3840 x 1620. I'm using a macbook pro m4 pro 14 so technically it should be able to support the 2x scaling.
Am I missing anything? The monitor is a decogear 40 incher ultrawide with a native resolution of 5120 x 2160. The panel is LG based ips.
