Same display presents itself differently on different Macs

I have two machines, which detects the same display (LG B4 48" 2024) differently. I first configured machine 1 (MBP 14") and then copied over the configs as described here however I am unable to turn on HiDPI @4k on my (MBA 15")

The problem is a hardware limitation with the MBA - it's max horizontal framebuffer resolution is 6K (which translates to a 3K max HiDPI resoluiton). You should enable flexible scaling on the MBA to unlock more resolution options but the HiDPI resolution list will not go above 3K.
