Yes, the spinning ring appears when the mouse is not on the streamed display (or virtual screen) but on the stream target, hovering over the streamed content. It is there because many did not understand why they can't interact with the content, thinking the mouse is on the source screen. The circle (and the pop up message) is meant to indicate that mouse clicks won't interact (but right click will interact with the streaming feature, bringing up the stream context menu). I added a request about this: #3912 |

You'll be able to disable this by issuing this terminal command. This will be in the next release.
