DDC works fine on Windows but not Mac (Asus PB258Q)

Hello,

I have a PB258Q which can succesfully be controlled by Twinkle Tray on Windows.

However, with the same direct USB-C to HDMI connection to my monitor on MacOS, BetterDisplay fails to control brightness.

Note that I have no issue controlling my other monitor (Dell U2520D)

I have a 2020 Intel Mac.

Any ideas on how to solve this issue? Should I try USB-C to DisplayPort instead?

Yes, try DisplayPort. Not all USB-C to HDMI dongles/converters relay DDC commands properly.
