Best upgrade steps for Mac OS Sequoia from older version?

Hey all,

I'm currently running v1.4.15 (Pro) on Sonoma without issues, but want to upgrade to Sequoia. I know I need the latest version for that. Should I deactivate my current license before upgrading the OS, or can I upgrade first and then deal with the license/new version? Thanks!

Hi, if you follow the standard macOS upgrade procedure, then everything should be fine. But if you are on v1 and want to run the current v3 version, steps don't matter much as you'll have to setup and activate v3 anew (settings and activation from v1 won't carry over).

Ok. But the v1.x will probably simply not launch on Sequoia (I am actually surprised it did on Sonoma).

I see. Well, I will try it anyway and if it does not launch I will just install v3. But will I need to purchase a new license for pro version of V3 or will my original purchase license work? Thanks again.
