iPad in Portrait Mode; size of content (specifically macOS Calendar)

I just set this up, and I was hoping to display the single day version of Apple's calendar on the iPad vertically. While I was able to get it vertical, and control the monitors correctly, I could not find any setting, either for aspect ratio or for resolution, that would enlarge the size of the calendar itself on the iPad, just smaller. Basically I'm looking to decrease the pixel height and depth so that the calendar is larger for readability. Preferably retaining HiDPI.
