Hi there, sadly some Taobao sellers are actually scalpers (they say the code is genuine but it means nothing). Some get license keys with a student discount (as fake students) and then resell it multiple times exploiting the fact that a single license could be activated on multiple Macs, others simply sell outright older cracked app versions. The best way to get the app is at https://betterdisplay.pro/buy or using the in-app purchase method. The app now has a rolling activation mechanism - meaning when the license seats are exceeded, the app automatically deactivates the oldest license, making migration to a new Mac easy. This however creates an issue for users who were scammed by fake sellers reselling the same key multiple times as they tend to deactivate each other's installations on overuse. This might be the issue you are experiencing. Additionally, there is now an automated algorithm that checks for leaked/illegally resold keys and limits the number of activations for these keys (note: no keys are deactivated permanently) to prevent this scamming practice. If you feel you purchased a legitimate key and the algorithm flagged your key erroneously, feel free reach out to me on the app's Discord channel and I can check the issue for you (I'll need the key and purchase details). I bought a genuine activation code on Taobao and activated it with my email. I haven't received such a prompt when connecting the monitor at the company in the past one or two months. However, when I connect the monitor at home, a warning appears, reminding me that the number of registrations exceeds one. Then I need to re - enter my email and activation code every time. How can I solve this problem?
