MacBook Pro M3 16" built in display incorrect screen size/display

As of a couple weeks ago, when I use my MacBook stand alone (no additional monitors connected), the display isn't recognizing the notch and I've lost native scaling in the display menu. External screen resolutions which I've favorited/saved continue working normally (I typically use the MacBook closed/clam shell mode when using one or two external screens). Restarting my Mac fixes the issue, but it comes back after connecting to external displays, then disconnecting and using the MacBook built in display standalone.

Yes, this sometimes happens and is a general macOS bug (see related threads), not strictly app related.

I recommend resetting display settings, that usually fixes the issue:

Thanks, I followed those steps except for deleting app and settings (wanted to avoid setting up again groups and resolution favorites, etc.), and it's been working correctly for a few days. Fingers crossed the fix is lasting
