Yes, you can use the app's CLI to reach most of its features, including resolution switching. https://github.com/waydabber/BetterDisplay/wiki/Integration-features,-CLI You can also use http calls, local URL schema, notification dispatch and Shortcuts to control/integrate the app. |

Hi, I have a 4k LG TV, and a Mac mini M4. I want to use it as a streaming box (movies only) to replace my Nvidia Shield TV, if it is doable. I want to wake up the mini with a harmony remote, which I know is doable, but then I want the mini to know that it has been woken up by the remote and to change the resolution from HIDPI 1920 x 1080 to full 4k 3840 x 2160, only for watching movies, and only when, say elmedia is open. And then when it is powered off, to revert back to the HIDPI resolution. The reason this is important is that the rest of the time, this mini will be used remotely and the 4k resolution makes it impossible to read via screen sharing.
Can Better Display do the resolution switching side of things?
Thanks, any help much appreciated.
