I don't see why it would not work - the Air can produce 3440x1440 (LoDPI) just fine. Some complain about clarity though as macOS does not look that good on low PPI monitors such as this one, but most are not particularly sensitive to that. Before getting a display like that I'd go to the local store and ask a sales attendant whether you can hook your notebook up to one to see how it performs and whether you like the image quality/clarity. |

Hello there,
Just a quick question before I pull the trigger on a Dell U3425WE and BetterDisplay Pro. I have an M3 MacBook Air and the Dell monitor has a thunderbolt port. It has a native 1440 x 3440 Ultrawide resolution at 60hz. Will I be able to use this monitor as the one and only display? The Air itself will be closed.
I am reading and seeing conflicting reports all over the internet this this won't work because of a million reasons but it seems it will based on some discussions here. I just want to be sure I can before I spend $800 on the monitor.
Thanks so much!
