Hi there - all systemwide changes are on a model/vendor level, so serial number does not affect the name change. This is how macOS handles display configuration overrides. Sorry about that. |

Hello,
I have a problem with my monitors I was hoping BetterDisplay could help me fix.
I have 2 LG UltraFine (1.4) GSM 5B74.
The serial is slightly different: 35879 - ...257 & 35883 - ...267
One is in Front of me and the other to the Left.
I was hoping to renamen them, giving them a custom name worked fine and they are named Front & Left.
But system-wide it was still showing the OS name.
I changed the system display name, however, it changes it for both screens, and I do not understand why.
Below a picture of the 'Front' settings, you can see that it says 'Left' from when I changed my Left monitor settings.
Am I misunderstanding or doing something incorrect?
FYI; when I activate the changes, first the front monitor goes to black and comes back, after this, the left monitor goes to black and comes back.
Hope someone can help,
Thanks,
Richard
