My MAC couldn't receive calls and texts and play videos from my iPhone while using BetterDisplay

When I was using BetterDisplay, my MAC couldn't receive notifications of calls and texts on my iPhone, and at first I thought there was a problem with my icloud Settings until I quit BetterDisplay; In addition, when BetterDisplay was working, I could not play the video properly using Tencent Video software, but showed black screen. I was not sure whether it was a problem with my monitor or a defect of BetterDisplay

I suppose you are using dummy mirroring to get HiDPI resolutions and not native smooth scaling (which is the preferred way now to achieve this without some of the issues that happens with dummies).

Your two issues are these:

• Why notifications are not showing on mirrored displays? #40 - you need to change a macOS setting to notifications show when you are doing mirroring
• Blank screen when using TV app #49 - dummies cannot show HDCP content (you need to use native smooth scaling to work around that).

🤣Sorry I missed the document [Using the resolution slider in the Application Menu to scale the desktop], smooth scaling does not require creating Dummies, dragging this slider solves my problem, great software🎉

Yes, exactly, you don't need dummies if you enabled native smooth scaling. Glad it worked out! :)
