On/Off sound is sometimes played without interaction

The on/off sound is sometimes played without interaction either by icon or shortcut. Don't know if the state changes according to the sound, or just the sound is played.

Multiple system sound sources can be seen in Gnome's sound settings. Picture bellow shows two entries but I also have seen four entries.

If nothing to say is uninstalled and Gnome restarted this issue does not occur.

I got the same problem as well. I can hear activating / deactivating sound without interaction either by icon or shortcut on Ubuntu 23.10 GNOME 45.2 any one knows why ?

I've also had this happen seemingly at random. #74 fixes an adjacent issue which I think should solve this too. I think we can leave this open until that fix is live and close it if it doesn't occur after that.
