[FEATURE] Arrow direction (while shrinking and expanding certain ribbons)

Expected behavior

The arrows (highlighted in the image) should have changed the direction with respect to the action but it didn't

I renamed the issue from BUG to FEATURE because this was never the intended behavior 😅

It may be nice to have the two arrows reverse direction upon clicking, but it's too low a priority for me to address. I'm open to a PR if someone wants to try it, though I'd recommend other features or improvements if someone has the time 😊
