I also found the move from writing to eeprom to using mode 8 remote control quite intimidating. However I found AI particularly helpful in explaining this mode of control and also how to implement it. Personally I used Gemini but they all seemed quite clued up! |

Hi all,
I've a quite complex energy management system in place using this integration with my inverters, EV wallboxes, and general appliances.
All is working quite well, but it requires the eeprom registers to be set along the day as the grid buy and sell price varies, changing from self-consumption to feed-in priority and back whenever needed, setting the export limit, charge/discharge periods, etc.
I already did some math and at the rate I'm changing the eeprom it won't be a problem for many years unless they are defective.
Despite this math telling me "you're fine", I'd prefer to start using any of the other methods made available by the current integration
I have searched the github, the docs, the FAQ, and I did not see any "starter's guide" or "remote control for dummies" kind of paper.
Where do you guys, who are more experienced in this integration recommend someone like me to start reading/learning from?
Thanks in advance,
-jprates
