I've opened PR #2025 that adds support for three serial prefixes mentioned here:
PR: #2025 The classifications are based on family patterns and cross-referenced with 0xAHA/Growatt_ModbusTCP. Note: unlike PR #2009 (SPF Energy Dashboard), this change does NOT include hardware validation. Users with these models should test and report any issues. For lordharan-ha (MOD 6000TL3-XH BP): I couldn't add your inverter because no serial prefix was provided. Please check your inverter's serial number and share the first 3-4 characters. |

I have a Growatt MID 17-KTL3-XH Hybrid inverter. Used to work up to 2024.05.07 but stopped after that. Now in 2024.08.13 i get: Got it working again in 2024.08.13 when manually adding the check for "KMN" in growatt_plugin.py. I just uncommented the "MID"-one that was already there and changed it to KMN, seems to work for my purposes but not sure that is correct, just an observation :) |

It is working again in 2024.08.14. It do however think it is reading and matching against the wrong serial number. (not that it really matters). Here is how it looks in 2024.08.14, the serial number seems a bit odd, but it works. |

I should rename it all on the Growatt Inverters really. The "Serial Number" there is actually part of the Firmware version. On other Inverters such as SolaX the first 4-6 digits of the Serial is used to determine the Inverter type. But on the Growatt, the Serial is truly unique, so I had to find something else to detect the model with. |

Not sure if this helps or not. It is working now so I am happy either way, but here is a clip of the info in the Growatt UI for my inverter. Seems the DN1 is actually a buildnumber and it is combined with the communication version. I am quite new to growatt (and solar for that matter) as well so I have no clue if the first tree digits of the actual device serial is unique to the model. I do however have a HA docker image for testing purposes, so if you want some help testing something for growatt (mid 17-ktl3-xh that is) i would be happy to help.

Well, I have 8 inverters running, and 1 has arrived yesterday. 1x SPH 4600 But just one is connected via modbus to Homeassistant or better EVCC which is running as addon unter Homeassistant. Here is my simple architecture of the SPH 4600
My goal is the following setup with HomeAssistant as a proxy in the middle like this, but this is the full picture incl. a modbus connection of 4 modbus meters EASTRON SDM72. This would mean 2 modbus lines and also a third modbus line which is not in the picture right now.
My 3rd modbus line would be the long inverter line of the min and mic inverters, 6 in a row. Finally the SPH 4000 with another battery but that is why I need a proxy for sure. But the other Min and Mic inverters have adresses that I can change.
But how could I setup the "base communication line" cause the SPH 4000 and 4600 should communicate with the Eastron I guess and that would means eastron or via 2 separate lines and 2 RS485 to USB FTDI Adapter ? I know that there is also a setup in the cloud where you should be able to add another inverter to a smartmeter. Please let me know what is possible with the Solax Modbus ! Thanks |

The Firmware version is only stated as V. However, the log is longer and contains more errors. but the firmware version : V is what brought me here. If you want to have a look (firmware naming almost at the end) |

Hi, it wil work, I tested Al1, Ak1 and Gh1, and they seperty worked. Somethimes I got 2 inverters worked. But that is unstable. I managed to connected the code to GEN by changing the py growatt file. and got les sensors in HA with no data.

Have You already looked at Sonnedimmer.nl
There you can connect your growatt inverter with an api. You can shutdown your inverter with a button and connect it to automaticly on/off with the use of a dynamica energy contract.

Thank you for the link (zonnedimmer.nl) but the communication with the (chinese) server has been cut for incoming commands. So no api through there is possible. I do work with dynamic prices here in Belgium. |

Hi,
What You see and you can control is correct with GEN but I got to see more sensors maybe because I have min and mic inverters. You can try to connect the AH1 to GEN4 to get more reading of the sensors by changing the plugin Growatt.py file. The Solax modbus is not perfect and I have not seen any other intergrations that are better. Just a matter of time I guess.

changed the AH1.0 to a "gen" pv x1 inverter in the growatt.py
only inverter on/off works and the set power output/reactive power output.
All the other values are "unkown" as seen in the screenshot

@zahidmak I believe you requested one of the split phase inverters to be added (in #523 (comment)). Were you able to successfully test it? If so, do the power entries correctly report total power across both phases, or is it only reporting half power (i.e. one phase)? |

@LocoSlug Are you willing/able to test out for us as well? If so it may be worth you test-adding the inverter as a 3-phase version to see if the second phase registers report sensible values (change the X1 in the linked PR to X3). |
Does not report correctly for split phase. L1/L2 are currently ~119v

Thanks for confirming. That is as I suspected - the inverter should be added as per the PR as an X1 device. It appears that it does not report split phase information. |

"unrecognized inverter type - firmware version : {your_firmware_version_here}"Please list below the first 3 digits here including the Inverter type and kW rating and which plugin you got a response with.
I can then add in your Inverter.
Please do not raise an issue in addition.
