Assign a set of colored tags

I would like to use different sets of colored tags depending on the project I am working on, for fast classification of the items I am reading. The total number of colored tags is insufficient to cover all the needs in a single set. However, the process of assigning colored tags is too time consumming to reassign them manually every time I look at a different project.

The automatic assignment of a set of colored tags seems to be well suited to be done within this plugin.
It would give a way around one of the frequent requests in the forums to get more colored tags than the 9 currently available.

Could anyone help on implementing such action script?
One script would assign all the 9 colored tags, including the tag Name, Color and Position.
Having multiple scripts would allow switching quickly between different sets of tags.
This would be extremelly useful and powerful for me.
