Auto-Tag Items by Number of Pages?

I'm looking to tag the items in my library by the number of pages in the attached PDFs. Unfortunately, sorting my items via the "pages" column is not an option since it displays publication page numbers; preferably, I would like to avoid opening and tagging each PDF individually. I would be incredibly grateful if someone could help me create an action for this, as I know absolutely nothing about coding.
