Running detox build --configuration ios.sim.release takes an over an hour to finish

I would run detox build --configuration ios.sim.release in the terminal then get these logs:

xcodebuild -workspace ios/app.xcworkspace -scheme app -configuration Release -sdk iphonesimulator -derivedDataPath ios/build
Command line invocation:
    /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/usr/bin/xcodebuild -workspace ios/app.xcworkspace -scheme app -configuration Release -sdk iphonesimulator -derivedDataPath ios/build

User defaults from command line:
    IDEDerivedDataPathOverride = /Users/its_me/Desktop/all/development/project/app/ios/build
    IDEPackageSupportUseBuiltinSCM = YES

Build settings from command line:
    SDKROOT = iphonesimulator17.2

then i would have to wait for over an hour before i see a sign of progress where a bunch of logs get printed and then it finishes building. After then i would be able to run detox test.
Is this something i can fix?
