Jetpack iOS Stats widget missing or unresponsive after updating to version 25.9 #24562

After updating to Jetpack iOS version 25.9, the Stats Home Screen widget either becomes unresponsive or disappears from the iOS widget picker.
In version 25.8, the widget:
- Appears in the widget picker
- Opens the app to the Stats screen when tapped
In version 25.9:
- Tapping the widget does nothing
- If the widget is removed or the app is reinstalled, Jetpack no longer appears in the widget picker
Steps to Reproduce
- Install Jetpack iOS version 25.8.
- Log into a WordPress.com account connected to a Jetpack-enabled site with Stats active.
- Add the Stats widget:
- Long press the Home Screen.
- Tap “Edit” > Add Widget in the top-left.
- Search for Jetpack.
- Add the “Today’s Visitors” widget.
- Tap the widget
→ ✅ Jetpack app opens to the Stats screen. - Update the app to version 25.9.
- Tap the same widget again
→ ❌ Nothing happens — the app no longer opens. - Remove the widget.
- Attempt to re-add it
→ ❌ Jetpack no longer appears in the widget list.
Originally reported by a user on iPhone 16 Pro Max (iOS 18.5). I reproduced it on iPhone 13 (iOS 18.2).
