[QA] WalletConnect QR code doesn’t open after switching network (EVM ↔ Solana)

Describe the current behavior in detail

Environment:

• OS: macOS Tahoe 26.0.1
• Wallets: WalletConnect
• Browser: Google Chrome Version 141.0.7390.123 (Official Build) (x86_64)
• https://wormhole-connect-mainnet.netlify.app/, https://portalbridge.com/

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Open the "Connect a wallet" modal and choose WalletConnect. Confirm that the QR code appears and the flow works
2. Close the modal (or leave it open). Switch the app network to a Solana network (or trigger the UI flow that changes the active network from EVM → Solana)
3. Re-open the "Connect a wallet" modal and select WalletConnect again
   (Alternate reproduction: start on Solana, open WalletConnect, then switch to an EVM network and re-open the modal.)

Actual result:
The WalletConnect QR modal does not open. WalletConnect flow cannot be initiated.

Expected result: After switching networks, the WalletConnect QR modal should open normally and present a valid QR code / deep link so user can connect via mobile wallet.
