Short description field not saving in draft

Adding a short description in draft mode doesn't seem to be saving. However, it does save when using the "Publish" button. Steps:

1. create a new product
2. In the "Product Detail" section, navigate to "Short description" tab.
3. Enter a short description.
4. Press "Save Draft"
5. Navigate to another page, then come back to the draft product
   ---> Short description is empty.
   ====> checking database field: "post_excerpt" shows it's empty
6. Enter a short description again
7. Press "Publish"
8. Navigate to another page, then come back to edit the product
   --> Short description is filled.
   ====> checking database field: "post_excerpt" shows it's correctly filled.

Tested in: WP E-Commerce 3.9.4
Wordpress: 4.2.2
Theme used: 2015

Thanks for the great bug report @HenryHzz! Really appreciate the attention to detail.

If you're able to submit a pull request for this, we could get it into the 4.0 release (currently in beta 1) - but without that, we'll likely have to wait until 4.1 to have the resources available to get a fix in.

I quickly tried to replicate this issue but couldn't.

Can you confirm this is with no other plugins active?

Thanks for the quick reply. I did originally reproduce on my test site turning off all plugins and then also switching to 2015 theme (I normally run with a custom theme). However, after seeing your results, I created another clean test site with 2015 theme, I wasn't able to reproduce also. When I get a chance, I'll try to find out why my testsite wasn't successful even with everything turned off and switching to 2015 theme.
