I do wonder which scenario would happen more often:
Only windows is legal and a team arrives to their first match with the school provided Mac that has been working fine for them thus far.
Multiple OSs are legal and a team arrives to their first match with a network issue that the field staff can’t diagnose because they are unfamiliar with the OS.
These honestly seem equally likley to me, if not more so the first one.
If it’s only going to be Windows I would change the splash screen text on non-windows devices to be MUCH more idiot proof.
Whats a “platform”? Whats “FMS Functionality”? I guess I don’t need that functionality since I’m just a rookie and my robot seems to be working fine.
Something like "This computer is running {insert detected operating system here} Per R901 you MUST have a laptop running Windows to control your robot at an official event.
