[Linux] .desktop entries have non-existent icons

On GNOME, none of the WPILib desktop menu entries installed by the installer have icons, not even the default icon.

This is because the Icon in these .desktop files are set to an .ico file, which isn't usable as an icon on non-Windows systems. Setting it to a path to a .png works, like the below example.

For reference, with the Elementary-xfce icon theme, the default icon is a square with a gear:

What distro and GNOME version? They have icons on Ubuntu 24.04.

Fedora 41. I'd have to double check what GNOME version, but should be whatever's in f41.

That worked for me, and seems to be a fairly common issue with Fedora 41
