Hey @albox7 and @unfussyorg! I ran into a similar issue myself and was able to resolve doing the following:

Multiple packages (gifsicle, likely others) appear to ship with only x86_64-only prebuilt binaries

• This causes an error -86 on Apple Silicon Macs
• This can been resolved by updating/installing Rosetta 2

To install or update to Rosetta 2:

1. Open the Terminal
2. Enter softwareupdate --install-rosetta
3. Once complete, restart Kap

This should enable your Mac to run the x86_64 binaries, and Kap should work as expected.

Hey @twwright thanks now it works for me too. Only audio can't be recorded unfortunately.
