Explicit mnemonics in action texts?

It seems that controls without explicit mnemonics are automatically assigned one in Qt Widgets and Qt Quick1, which is nice, but leaves a hole for translators to fill. Sometimes mnemonics change based on context, which is bothering to me.

For example, in the main UI "O" and "I" are typically assigned to "Output" and "Input".

However, if we toggle the right bottom corner menu of Equalizer and press Alt, "I" would be re-assigned to "Import" here, albeit the menu would be immediately closed.

As the result, Input in the main menu are stripped of its mnemonic.

And O for Output are substituted too, but I have no idea what does this.

Generally explicit mnemonics are better for ergonomics in my opinion, and are recommended in KDE documentations2. They can also be the handle for translators to put localized mnemonics without guessing.

Broader inputs are welcomed.
