fix(sonification): address an issue where autoplay speed adjustment is unavailable while autoplay is in progress

Bug Report

Description

Currently, users cannot speed up or down of the autoplay while it is in progress. It used to work while ago. Chart2Music and other sonification packages support dynamic autoplay speed adjustment.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open a line plot at https://xabilitylab.ischool.illinois.edu/maidr/galleries/lineplot.html
2. Start sonification autoplay
3. Adjust speed with . or , key while it is in progress

Actual Behavior

Autoplay adjustment is not working while it is in progress. Users need to stop it, adjust, and play again.

Expected Behavior

Autoplay adjustment should be available even when it is in progress.
