Mobile Platform Support for XaOS (GSoC)

From the past few days I was exploring XaoS, setting up the environment, tweaking things and learning how it works.

I was able to get it running and it was fun exploring around it. I would love to contribute to XaoS, especially for the “Develop a mobile phone user interface for GNU XaoS” project for GSoC 2026.

Here is a preview of what I built: Video Preview

This is just a POC of the UI layer implementation. Some gestures still need to be refined and it also needs to be made compatible with iOS.

Also, this is currently just a UI port — the interface still needs to be properly designed and customized to provide a better mobile user experience.

Would love to hear feedback from the maintainers and mentors of the project.

Sure, I’ll design and implement a UI/UX focused on delivering the best possible user experience, while ensuring all essential features are covered. I’ll continuously iterate and keep you updated with progress and improvements.
