Possible to add a second user for SSH

Currently i disabled ssh root connection to a linux server.
So the first user would be "loginuser". The root user "rootuser".

• login with "loginuser" and password
• "su rootuser" with password

It would be good if I could create two identities here.

If you search for available connections on that system and check the sudo shell environment, you can launch that to open the connection as root

@crschnick But "loginuser" is not a sudoer. I need to switch to "rootuser". Or whatever you call a user who then has root rights. This is just an example. This user has a completely own user name and another password.
Of course I can run “su rootuser” myself and then enter the password manually. But of course it would be nice to be able to store this identity in xpipe as well.

Ohh I see, I was confused by the rootuser. So it's more like you need to switch to "sudouser"

Is there any particular reason why your sudouser is disabled? I know the practice of disabling root login, but I don't see the point of disabling the login for any user that has sudo permissions

@crschnick Yes, perhaps not a good example name. "a_user_that_can_use_sudo" 😄
But good point. I've always had separate users for ssh login and sudo users. And I've had that for years now. I always liked to have two passwords for logging in and then switching to a sudo user. In the end you could also do without this double login.

The reason such a thing can't be easily done yet is because su is more difficult to integrate than sudo.

With sudo everything works more smoothly and that supports more options

@crschnick I found out, some of my systems doesn't even have sudo installed (Debian).

What kind of debian instillation is that? I thought that even the minimal installation comes with that
