When the program starts, due to the enabled git synchronization, it takes a very long time to start, about tens of seconds. Is there any way to optimize this?

I have a few ideas:

1. Configure the last updated SHA value: Compare local and remote records at startup, and if there are configuration changes, then synchronize (I'm not sure if this has already been implemented);
2. Start first, then synchronize the configuration. During this period, use the local configuration as the standard and prohibit any configuration changes;

So the first thing would be to try the latest version, 15.7.1, as there were performance improvements made for that.

If that does not change it, I guess I can take a closer look. The git sync needs to do two things, pull and merge from the remote, and initialize the local state. Even if there are no changes made, it will have to fetch from the remote to verify that there are no changes. The git fetch takes a while. Then, it also has to build a local state to check which connections are already committed and which are not. Because in theory you can also do changes outside of XPipe on your local repository, so optimizing this would be easy to break. I think this is already optimized though. You can go to Settings -> Troubleshoot -> Show log files to see what git commands are run, including timestamps.

The 2. point would require a lot of work on making external updates at runtime possible. Because right now this is not possible.

How often do you launch XPipe per day so that this is an issue? If you go to Settings -> System -> Exit behavior and change that, it will stay open in the background if you close XPipe. That way, you won't have this loading time next time you open XPipe.

I'm using version 15.7.1.

It will take about 7-10 seconds to start, maybe more 🤫, I think the ideal time should be 2-3 seconds.

Open it about 3-5 times a day, and I will try to modify the settings to keep running in the background.
