Hey everyone! 2026 just began here in Almaty, and I want to take a moment to look back on the past year for ArkEnv. When I started ArkEnv in 2025, I did not expect it to become my most successful project, with multiple contributors, passionate users, and encouragement from the open source community, including people I have looked up to for years. Thank you.
In 2026, I am looking forward to more contributors, more users, and more eyes on the project. As we add features and fixes, we have more people to support, and I want to do this right. That means getting ready for a production-ready, stable v1 release.
To make v1 concrete, success looks like:
Stable API with clear deprecation policy
Comprehensive test coverage across core paths
Solid documentation with examples and migration notes
Clear error messages and predictable validation behavior
Clearly documented MO and codebase that's faithful to it
With that, I am announcing the v1 Roadmap for ArkEnv. I intend to follow and prioritize this over new features not listed here, while staying open to adjustments as we go.
If you want to help, the biggest impact areas right now are testing, docs, and triage. Please comment on open issues above or open new ones with clear repro steps and context. Thank you for being part of ArkEnv. ⛯
