That's unfortunate. However, I don't care what REWE wants.

They chose to offer an app that works only on Apple and Google OSes? Then I'm going to exercise my right to re-establish interoperability as much as I like.

Nobody is going to block me out of shopping for groceries.

Update: Curiously, as of 2026-04-07, the backend has never blocked the CLI for me.

Damn it. Very strange, given that Rewe at the same time pushes new digitised formats like Pick & Go. Hopefully they reconsider - all my colleagues were genuinely enthusiastic about this.

I logged into it once on one machine on April 2nd (worked then, got refreshed today, still works) and once on another machine today, April 7th (works). The CLI has never given me any 4xx.

I know for a fact that Rewe is/was actively blocking. It might be dynamic and only kick in at some threshold or so. Great if it works right now for you :)
