Docs: how to calculate expected acquisition time?

I am fairly new to the gage board and I don't have a firm understanding of many of the daq properties. Currently, I think the segment_count tells me how many laser shots are in a measurement, but that does not mesh well with my expected time of measurement. Can someone help point me in the right direction? THANKS!

Gage is confusing because there is averaging on many levels.

record_count is how many laser shots are averaged (summed) on-board by firmware.

segment_count is averaged in Python within the daemon, akin to NI-DAQ shots.

Laser shots is the product of record_count and segment_count.

I do not like these terms, but a decision was made to try and use Gage's own language wherever possible.

Additionally the expected time requires factoring in the laser repetition rate, which is not info that gage daemon actually has.
