RBAC Overview

This is probably an easy one but I'm a little unclear about users/groups/roles. Creating a new user is straightforward and granting a user account "admin" privileges over the platform is clear but I'm a little confused about the Global role setting for each individual user profile. If this is scoped permissions for API keys, thats one thing but I want to verify what that setting is actually intended for.
