Saying "if horizontal tabs are a deal breaker" go find another browser, isn't helping to promote your browser. Yes, users can get used to vertical tab bars but they are an inefficient use of limited window space. I'm 100% sure that users would prefer to have a wide screen to view their content and scroll down than having a narrower screen with limited side to side viewing area. be democratic, allow users to choose between vertical or horizontal tabs. uses cookies on the setting to see what most people choose and be guided by that. Make the choice available at setup so you don't tilt the table to vertical tabs by having users looking around to figure out how to get horizontal. also, put the url bar below the bookmark bar, having a url bar so small feels constraining. lastly, make all new tab blank, stop asking users to enter an url sometimes all we want is the blank window with the search page where we will then look for what we want. |

I would actually like to see spaces where the horizontal tabs were (or would be). Or as horizontal tabs. (replacing the horizontal tab bar). Clicking on workspace on the top will switch you to that workspace.
Folks are already used to horizontal tabs, and currently switching spaces is so far down and kind hidden and very small to click.
