Split screen gaps disspearing while in compact mode

• I have checked that this issue can be reproduced once I removed all my Mods and Custom CSS.

What happened?

Here is an example showing the center gaps between the split tabs while not in compact mode:

And you can see they disappear when in compact mode:

MacOS Sequoia 15.7.1

Expected behavior

The gaps should remain present irrespective of compact/no compact mode.

Actual behavior

The gaps dissapear in compact mode.

Steps to reproduce

• Split two tabs
• Use keyboard shortcut to toggle compact mode on/off

Only able to reproduce with the tab bar on the right, but it's there on Win as well.

yep this has been a issue with tabs on right for a few weeks now. there was a previous issue request for this as well
