Sidebar scrolling on Windows

What happened?

When scrolling the sidebar using mouse wheel, tabs that are scrolled over will open.
I expected the behaviour to be that tabs would only open when clicked.

Expected behavior

Scrolling sidebar tabs should not open tabs. This issue does not occur on Macos.

No add-ons and same behaviour if I disable the two extensions that I use.

It looks like the mouse wheel scroll behaviour is different between Mac and Windows. On Mac, the side bar will not scroll unless the number of tabs exceeds vertical height.
In this case, the currently open tab will remain selected and the entire list will scroll. Then I select the tab I want to switch to when I see it.

On Windows, it works differently. Here, it doesn't matter how many tabs I have open. For example, if I have three tabs with the first, hover the cursor over the side bar and start scrolling, tab 2 and then tab 3 will open.

I can only guess your mouse wheel is somehow conneted to specific hotkey bounding that shifts focus between your tab.

@safr-world Have you (or a mod) changed the value of toolkit.tabbox.switchByScrolling to true in about:config?
It defaults false, setting it true enables the behaviour you're describing.
