The Shopify theme editor preview should load normally inside Zen Browser, allowing me to customize and preview my Shopify theme without errors.

What happened?

The Shopify theme editor preview does not load in Zen Browser. Instead, Zen shows the message:

"Zen Can't Open This Page"

It says that the Shopify store page will not allow Zen to display it because it is embedded in another site. Shopify also shows a modal saying:

"Failed to load the page"

• Page is redirecting to an unsupported URL
• Page failed to load due to an error

This prevents me from editing or previewing my Shopify theme inside the Shopify editor.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Shopify Admin in Zen Browser.
2. Go to Online Store > Themes.
3. Click Customize to open the Shopify theme editor.
4. Wait for the theme preview/editor to load.
5. The preview fails to load and Zen shows the security/embedding error.

Expected behavior

The Shopify theme editor preview should load normally, as it does in other browsers.

Actual behavior

The editor preview does not load. Zen displays a "Zen Can't Open This Page" message, and Shopify shows a "Failed to load the page" error.

I tested this without Zen Mods and Custom CSS, and the issue still happens.
I also tested in Mozilla Firefox and the issue does not happen there.

Instead, Zen shows a "Zen Can't Open This Page" message saying that the Shopify store page cannot be displayed because it is embedded in another site. Shopify also shows a modal with the message "Failed to load the page" and says: - Page is redirecting to an unsupported URL - Page failed to load due to an error Because of this, I cannot use the Shopify theme editor in Zen Browser.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Zen Browser on MacOs.
2. Go to Shopify Admin.
3. Open Online Store > Themes.
4. Click "Customize" on a theme.
5. Wait for the Shopify theme editor to load.
6. The preview area fails to load and Zen displays the "Zen Can't Open This Page" error.
7. Shopify also shows a "Failed to load the page" modal.

Is Shopify actually being embedded on a different website here? Without knowing more it looks like Zen is honouring a (safety related) request by Shopify not to allow embedding.
