REPL can not input after run help() on pico1

On Pico1 ,PicoCalc

I compiled micropython with latest code and sdk

if I ran help() ,then there will be only a blink cursor flashing after
I can not input any characters .

This might be an i2c issue. Try this modified read_reg16 function in picocalc.py: https://github.com/LaikaSpaceDawg/PicoCalc-micropython/blob/d475bf06779927726447ee977e399d2a14e706f3/pico_files/lib/picocalc.py#L173

It is even worse situation if I use this modified read_reg16, I can not input characters at the first place when boot up.

I also tried the whole LaikaSpaceDawg's micropython on Pico1 of PicoCalc

removed all wifi related ,RTC related functions finally got it running without errors

then still ran help() ,sadlly, his version is worse than yours, even can not get the full output of help() and hang right way

Having the same problem after switching to the Pico 1 board. I captured the error with mpremote:

Edit: This bug doesn't happen with micropython_pico.uf2 provided by PicoCalc.
