Description
False-positive spam block — 3 records removed, account locked, 4 tickets unanswered (5+ weeks)
What happened
On February 18, 2026, my Zenodo account was automatically blocked without notification. Three research records were removed:
| DOI | Title |
|---|---|
| 10.5281/zenodo.17858944 | On the Structural Dependencies of Intelligence: Coherence, Preservation, and the Role of Emergence (SDI v1.1) |
| 10.5281/zenodo.18040570 | Unbounded Emergence: The Structural Cause of Sycophancy, Hallucination, and Collapse (UE v1.9) |
| 10.5281/zenodo.18627131 | CPE-Constrained AI Reasoning on Research Mathematics: Process Governance Without Domain Expertise |
All three removal pages show:
- Reason for removal: Spam
- Removed by: System (automatic)
- Removal note: User was blocked
No email notification was sent. I discovered the block by trying to access my own records.
Support tickets filed (all unanswered)
Because my account is locked, I cannot authenticate when filing tickets. I submitted four tickets as a logged-out user:
| Ticket # | Category | |
|---|---|---|
| #564879988 | robinbthacker@gmail.com | User deletion (closest available option) |
| #564880138 | robinbthacker@gmail.com | Report bug or problem |
| #564880322 | robinbthacker@stumail.viu.ca | Take-down notice |
| #564880643 | robinbthacker@stumail.viu.ca | General inquiry |
Zero responses received on any ticket in over five weeks.
Why this is a false positive
- I am a cited researcher since 1990 (US Patent 4,977,808 — 21 citations on Google Scholar as "Robin Bruce Thacker")
- These records document a framework covered by Canadian Patent CA 3294110
- Two DOIs are cited in ACM-CAIS 2026 Paper support: added error notifications to contact form #89 (under peer review, notification April 21)
- The third record also cites the SDI and UE preprints
- I have a separately accepted bioRxiv preprint ("Confidence Without Verification: Screening pLDDT Unreliability in AlphaFold2 Fold-Switching Predictions", 2026)
- Three additional papers in preparation for bioRxiv cite two of these preprints
- I have never posted spam, automated content, or promotional material on Zenodo
Active harm
- Patent examiners cannot access cited works
- Peer reviewers at ACM-CAIS cannot access cited works
- Three new bioRxiv submissions are blocked by broken citation chains
- Google Scholar profile displays broken Zenodo DOIs publicly
Request
- Account restoration and reinstatement of all three records
- Explanation of what triggered the automated classification
- Safelisting to prevent recurrence
Note
Zenodo's own FAQ (What if I was wrongly blocked for spam?) states:
If your account has been blocked because of spam, but the content submitted is legitimate research dissemination, then please get in touch with us on our support line, and we'll restore your access and content.
I have done this four times over five weeks with no response. I am filing this publicly as a last resort.
Happy to provide any verification needed.
