Parameter text boxes are slow to edit

Editing the text boxes in the parameter block causes noticeable lag.

Editing the text boxes should be smooth.

Editing is slow and unpleasant

Steps to reproduce:

1. Drop a parameter block in the canvas
2. Edit it's textbook
3. Witness the lag
