    ├── __init__.py
    └── test_example.py

Files Description

  • CONTRIBUTING.md - Contribution guidelines for the project
  • README.md - This file containing project information
  • config.py - Configuration settings for the project
  • requirements.txt - Python package dependencies
  • src/__init__.py - Makes the src directory a Python package

Configuration

The config.py file contains project settings:

  • Project name and version
  • Debug mode toggle
  • Log level configuration
  • Default greeting message

Usage

This repository serves as a demonstration of GitHub API usage through Qoder IDE tools. The example Python script shows how to:

  1. Create a function that greets users
  2. Handle user input
  3. Structure a simple Python project
  4. Parse command line arguments

Command Line Usage

The example script supports command line arguments:

python src/example.py --name John

Or with the short form:

python src/example.py -n John

If no name is provided, the script will prompt for input.

Running Tests

To run the tests, execute the following command:

python -m tests.test_example

Or if you're in the project root directory:

python -m pytest tests/

Example Output

Hello, John! Welcome to the Qoder example repository.

GitHub Tools Demonstrated

Through this example, we've demonstrated how to use Qoder's GitHub tools to:

  1. Create a new repository
  2. Add and update files
  3. Create directory structures
  4. View repository contents
  5. Create and manage branches
  6. Create and merge pull requests
  7. Create and manage issues
