Wrong version of icons are picked in resource list in case of high contrast light mode theme

In the lighter mode it should pick dark icons but its not working.

i can’t see an obvious way to fix this. i think vs code just pulls out the icon it wants. looking at the file explorer tree (so, vs code native) they seem to generally keep the same icons across all themes. (although it’s hard to be sure whether the colour is changing when i switch between light and dark)

i notice zowe explorer use a slightly darker colour for their dark mode icons which means it’s not quite as bad in high contrast light mode.

my gut feeling is that perhaps there’s a bug in vs code which means it’s selecting dark mode icons for high contrast light mode?
