Description
Describe the bug
The Zowe Explorer USS tree view is cluttered with hidden UNIX files, as these are always visible in the tree view for any given directory.
To recreate:
- Connect to z/OS system using RSE
- Open a USS directory in the USS view
- The editor displays a collated set of files and directories, with all the UNIX hidden files (prefixed with a dot) displayed first in the collating sequence
Expected behavior
Just about all other USS editors I've worked with such as IDZ/RSE, CICS Explorer and UNIX ls commands or pattern matching ignore hidden files by default. Showing the hidden files a. ignores their status as "hidden" and b. clutters the view as by default they will always be at the start of the collation and should normally not be edited in day to day operations.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
- OS: Win11
- Zowe Explorer Version: 3.3.1
