<p class="color-light">1953年6月生于北京，入读北海幼儿园，平时寄宿，逢年过节才回家[6]。 1960年，入读北京市八一中学[7][6]。 1962年，父亲习仲勋因牵涉 “小说《刘志丹》案”被打倒，被监押到北京卫戍区。被抄家后，习近平随母亲迁居中央党校。 1966年12月初，首都红卫兵联合行动委员会（简称联动）成立。但习近平被归类为黑帮子弟，无法参加红卫兵。之后在北京101中學就读。曾经和童年伙伴中国棋圣聂卫平[來源請求]短暂参加了红卫兵或者联动外围组织。15岁时被康生的夫人曹轶欧作为“黑帮”的家属揪出来，被威胁“枪毙够一百次了”。后被送到派出所门口，又被拉回去，最后被送往少管所“黑帮”子弟学习班。[6]根据其弟习远平回忆，"1968年，习近平15岁，因父亲问题的牵连，被有关部门多次关押审查，出来时，身体非常虚弱，全身都是虱子。习近平到关中富平老家大姑家里休息很长时间，大姑一天一碗鲜羊奶喂着，他才慢慢调养好"</p>
