Emojis appear blurry

Describe the bug

Since a couple of weeks (probably since I upgraded to 5.9.0), emojis appear blurry on my machine using zulip-desktop, connected to a selfhosted Zulip instance:

I have the same behaviour when being connected to chat.zulip.org:

When I open and log in to Zulip in my Firefox browser, I do not see the behaviour:

So this must somehow have something to do with zulip-desktop

See clear and not blurry emojis

  5.9.1

Additional context

The emoji popup window when writing a new message is not affected, everything is clear:

Also experiencing this on 5.9.3-1; it seems likely to be related to #1202. For me it occurs for almost all images (including user avatars, etc.)

Also note the (yet-to-be-merged) fix for #1202 in #1203. Seems likely a similar fix would work more generally.
