Retaining information/answers

I've been asking questions and getting answers on the privateGPT but I now want to make a couple changes to the code, which would require me to rerun the command 'PGPT_PROFILES=local make run'. I want the database to maintain all of the questions and answers already asked and continue to learn on it but I fear that rerunning this command will make the privateGPT start from nothing again. Is there a way to resolve this?
