Full-stack and mobile engineer building software that feels simple on the surface and stays understandable underneath.
I'm finishing a B.S. in Computer Science at UMBC, expected May 2027. At Cisco, I built the first version of an internal MCP platform for discovering and calling engineering tools, then returned to improve its performance and reliability for 5+ engineering teams.
I'm now building an agent-first car rental management platform, part of a broader push to create useful AI agents for small businesses.
- eddyb.dev: My portfolio and writing site, designed like a code editor while remaining fast, accessible, and usable without JavaScript.
- TactileLens: An Android accessibility app that turns camera textures into real-time haptics and sound. Finalist at the Qualcomm x Google Developer Hackathon.
- component-previewer: A React Native component previewer that renders CSF stories inside an app's real provider shell on native and web.
- BeSeen: An offline-first iOS wellness app for couples, built end to end in React Native and used by 200+ active users.
Developer tools, product engineering, AI infrastructure, mobile systems, performance, and the seams between frontend and backend. I work most often with TypeScript, React, React Native, Python, and FastAPI.
